Product Description
The Ohme ePod is an Electric Vehicle (EV) smart charging device, with:
- Charge controller, including integral RCD and PEN fault detector
- Type 2 socket
- Cable clamp for use with load balancing
The product conforms to the latest safety standards including:
- RCD functions to disconnect the power supply if AC or DC current leakage occurs
- Neutral (PEN) fault detection, avoiding the need for an earth rod to be installedThe ePod is provided with use of the Ohme app and backend services. Updates are provided to the product as a minimum whilst the product is under Warranty (usually three years).
Tidy and Compact Design
Compared to its predecessor, the Ohme Home Pro, the ePod has a sleek and compact design which would look in place on any home. It is controlled simply with the minimalist design choice of three buttons – play, pause and stop.
Untethered EV Charging
Being an untethered EV Charger, the Ohme ePod is compatible with both Type 1 and Type 2 vehicles. The untethered design also allows the user maximum flexibility as the appropriate length cable can be bought separately to the Charge Point.
Ohme App
The Ohme App is available on all smartphones and can be used to control your EV’s charge remotely. Provided your EV is compatible, the Ohme knows exactly what charge your EV has so you can reach the optimal, 80% charge.
Network/Internet Connection
The Ohme ePod uses a 4G data connection which is pre-configured in the factory to communicate directly to the Ohme backend server.
The built-in SIM card is covered by Ohme for the first three years, however they have stated they have ‘no plans’ to charge customers for any period after this is complete.
Introducing 0% Finance
Ohme Home Pro Tethered is available on 0% finance with Kanda, giving you flexibility to pay for your EV Charger in a way that suits you.
