Smart Meter Engineers Complete EV Charging Training

In January, Energise reported on Smart Meter Engineers, Andy and Carl who were embarking on our EV training programme which provides opportunities for all Energise Smart Meter engineers to become EV Experts in how to install a range of EV equipment and systems.

We are delighted to announce that Andy and Carl have now completed their LCL Domestic Electrical Installer, City and Guilds 18th Edition, and City and Guilds Electric Vehicle Charge Point Installation and are moving onto their field-based learning with support from our very knowledgeable in-house EV team.

This is a structured pathway which includes a portfolio-based evidence style that is constantly reviewed by the training centre electronically.

Both Andy and Carl, are well on their way to being fully-fledged solo installers and should hopefully be completed in the next few weeks!

The next steps are to review the portfolio and then have a ‘sign off’ job with our internal Qualified Supervisor.

Developing our staff

At Energise we pride ourselves on the development of staff and will continue to support both engineers on their journey and we look forward to progressing more through the same route!
