Petrol Costs Continue to Rise
A recent analysis published by climate website Carbon Brief found that in the UK the average cost of filling a 55-litre tank of petrol is almost £100, compared to the equivalent range of a £37 Electric charge.
Carbon briefs policy editor, Simon Evans, stated “If you can afford the upfront cost [of buying an EV] you are going to save overall”
Zap map also reported last week that the running costs of an EV is almost half of its petrol equivalent. Co-founder Melanie Shufflebotham. “That is going to save the average car driver well over £500 over a year, whilst saving emissions too.”
